Senior Manager/Toxicologist - Chemicals
[General Description of
Responsibilities]
- To efficiently and effectively manage
projects so reports are prepared on time and on budget and to provide continuous
project management training to junior Associate and junior Manager team
members.
- To lead complex scientific studies and to provide direction to
project team in the analysis and interpretation of scientific information.

Identify, develop and maintain successful, long-term business relationships
between the company and representative companies which will contribute to the
success of the company’s business plan and the success and development of the
reputation of the BA(Business Assurance).

Description]
- Exercises judgement within broadly
defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation
criteria for obtaining results
- Accountable for the development realistic
budgets and timelines; decides on goals, which are not well defined, and decides
how to use resources
- Communicate expectations and priorities to team
members and to clients.
- Manage projects and client relationships
cost-effectively
- Develop and capitalize on a network within the scientific
community.

- Research and analyze the BA’s
markets, competition and mix of services provided to identify new client
niches
- Formulate a specific budget and expenditure plan for each marketing
campaign, including results expected.
- Communicate and exchange information
and advice with representatives of the chemical industry and, where necessary,
government officials, legal advisors, and academic experts.
- Dual reporting
line to Toronto Canada for technical and to Hong Kong for
business
[Qualifications &
Experience]
- Ph.D or Masters of Science in
Toxicology
- More than 8 years relevant industry experience - preferred

Qualified Toxicologist with formal training, knowledge in Chemical, Regulation
and Toxicology
- Playing key role in business development
- Fluent in both
written and spoken English and Korean

- Developed scientific expertise to the
level needed to undertake most standard studies within the overall field of
toxicology
- Able to present a mature scientific argument
- Breadth of
scientific perspective is critical to ability to solve complex problems, that
is, to solve problems which involve a number of different scientific
specialties.
- Sufficient scientific experience to be able to establish the
scope and work plan for complicated, complex projects.
- Ability to work on a
number of different aspects of problems and the ability to evaluate and
integrate work from a number of sources
